Applied Research and Technology Innovation (ARTI)
The Centre for Applied Research and Technology Innovation (ARTI) was established in 2006. The purpose of the centre is to re-engineer the research culture of academics in the College in line with the new paradigm shift. The primary responsibility of ARTI is to promote and facilitate the performance of industry-oriented research and development activities in the college, orientate staff and students projects towards Science and Technology (S&T) based goods and services, establish and promote linkages with private and public organizations especially Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) for the exploitation and use of Research and Development (R&D) outputs and to liaise with relevant stakeholders in the college to develop and market innovative products and services.
In line with the mandate of the centre and as part of her activities i.e. the promotion of research culture of academic staff and students in the college, the centre organizes the following yearly in the College:
- Business Meeting
- Training of Trainers’ (TOT) workshop
- ARTI Lecture Series
- Sensitization Seminar
- Students’ Research Project
Inaugural Lectures are organized for the College quarterly.
